A Palestinian boy has succumbed to severe malnutrition and dehydration amid the ongoing Israeli genocidal war and nearly-full siege of the territory.
The 12-year-old Mustafa Hijazi has died on Friday due to malnutrition and shortage of medical supplies at al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah.
Another child has also died of malnutrition in the besieged Gaza Strip, bringing to 40 the total number of children falling victim to lack of food and water in the enclave.
Earlier this week, medical sources counted at least 50 children suffering from starvation in northern Gaza amid the ongoing Israeli genocidal war on the besieged enclave.
The UN fund for children (UNICEF) has warned that nearly 3,000 Palestinian children have been cut off from treatment for acute malnutrition in southern Gaza.
