A senior Iranian cleric has stressed necessity of supports for sadat (descendants of Prophet Mohammad) in a global scale.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shariari, the Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, made the remarks at a ceremony to unveil the website for Sadat Foundation which promotes Islamic culture based on the capabilities of Sadat, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He said that ‘Sadat’ refers to the descendants of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) who are related to the prophet of Islam on their paternal or maternal antecedents.
The Iranian cleric hailed prominent Afghan scholar Sayyed Mohammad Uthman Jalabi Hujwiri (c 1009-1072) the author of Kashf al-Mahjub, the earliest Persian treatise on Sufism and hailed the Afghan scholar for promoting Islam in the Indian peninsula.
“This book reveals the capacities of the Sunni community”, said Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari.
