The European Union's top foreign policy official, Josep Borrell, has voiced strong condemnation following a recent deadly Israeli airstrike in the Gaza Strip that resulted in killing at least 90 Palestinians including women and children and wounding more than 300 others. The attack occurred in the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Yunis, a region in southern Gaza.

Further emphasizing the need for accountability and a cessation of hostilities, Borrell called for "access to independent investigations and accountability, and for an end to the appalling situation of innocent civilians in Gaza."
