A senior member of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, has vowed that the martyrdom of the political chief of the movement, Ismail Haniyeh, will not go unanswered.
Mousa Ab Marzook, the member of the political bureau of Hamas, in a reaction to the Wednesday morning incident that martyred Ismail Haniyeh and his body guard called the ‘assassination’ of the Palestinian resistance leader as a coward act vowing that it will not go unanswered, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Earlier Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) issued a statement to confirm that Haniyeh and his body guard were martyred in their residence in Tehran.
IRGC offered condolences to the Palestinian people, Islamic nation and the resistance axis adding that the incident is under investigation.
The 61-year-old Palestinian leader was in the Iranian capital Tehran to attend the inauguration of the newly-elected President, Masoud Pezeshkian.
