The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, has issued a message to condole with the Muslim nation and resistance front stressing that the Zionist regime of Israel provided the grounds for a tough punishment for itself.

The message by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution came after the political leader of Hamas resistance movement was martyred in his residence in the Iranian capital Tehran, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized,” We see it a mission upon us to retaliate the martyrdom of our guest targeted while in the Islamic Republic’s territory.”
 
The Leader hailed martyr Ismail Haniyeh for years of fighting an honorable battle and sacrificing his beloved family members for that objective and said,” Haniyeh was not afraid of being martyred in the path of the Almighty God but we, in this bitter incident that happened in the Iranian territory, find the retaliation for his blood as our responsibility.”
 
Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei offered his condolences with the brave and honorable nation of Palestine, resistance front and the bereaved family of Ismail Haniyeh and his bodyguard.
 
The Leader of Hamas resistance was in Iran to attend the inauguration ceremony of the newly-elected President Masoud Pezeshkian which was held in the capital Tehran on Tuesday afternoon.
 
Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) issued a statement in the early hours of Wednesday to confirm the martyrdom of the Hamas leader and his bodyguard. It further said that the incident is under investigation.
