The funeral procession of the political leader of the Hamas resistance movement, Ismail Haniyeh, is set to be held in Tehran on Thursday, a day after he was martyred in his residence in the Iranian capital.

In a statement by the bureau of Hamas resistance movement in Tehran has declared three days of national mourning in Iran in commemoration of late Ismail Haniyeh.
 
Hamas resistance movement announced that a funeral procession will be held in Tehran before the body of Ismail Haniyeh is transferred to Qatari for burial, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The resistance movement added that Ismail Haniyeh will be laid to rest in the Qatari city of Lusail where the Hamas leader was based.
 
A day of national mourning has been declared in Palestine following the martyrdom of the chief of Hamas political bureau in a suspected attack in Tehran early on Wednesday.
 
Haniyeh was in Tehran to attend the inaugural ceremony of Iran’s newly-elected president, Masoud Pezeshkian.
