Iranian Acting Foreign Minister in his telephone call with Josep Borrell, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, slammed silence of some European states regarding the Zionist war-mongering approach in Yemen and Lebanon, which has encouraged this regime to continue its aggressive actions, and warned that this will lead to jeopardizing peace and stability in the region and urged EU to put Tel Aviv under pressure.

 
Bagheri, while referring to the presence of Enrique Mora, the Chief of Staff of Josep Borrell, on behalf of the European Union at the inauguration ceremony of the president of Iran, emphasized that the terrorist act of the Zionist regime in martyring Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, in addition to violating the territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Iran will definitely use its inherent and legitimate right to bring the Zionist criminals to justice.
 
The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs pointed to the holding of an extraordinary meeting of the United Nations Security Council at the request of the Islamic Republic of Iran and condemned the actions of some European countries in cooperation with the United States in preventing the condemnation of the assassination of Martyr Haniyeh by the UN Security Council.
 
 
Josep Borrell, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy for his part stressed the legitimate right of the Islamic Republic of Iran to defend its territorial integrity and territorial sovereignty, and expressed concern about the escalating tension and the formation of a full-scale war in the region and its impacts and consequences for the people of the region.
 
At the end, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran noted that the European Union should, in line with its responsibility to maintain international peace and security, put pressure on the Zionist regime to prevent the continuation of the crimes of this regime, because the lack of serious action by the European side to restrain the Zionist regime will cause the criminal entity ruling in Tel Aviv will be encouraged to wage war and endanger regional and international peace, stability and security.
