“US, Israel dare not wage war in Gaza if Muslims were united”

24 Aug 2024 - 13:50

Iranian President, Masoud Pezeshkian stressed that the ongoing Israeli war in the besieged Gaza Strip is due to lack of solidarity among Muslims.

President Pezeshkian, in an address at the mausoleum of late Imam Khomeini (RA) in southern Tehran, said Israeli regime and the United States would not dare to wage war in the West Asian region if Muslims were united, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

His remarks come as the Israeli regime’s killing campaign in Gaza is on its 323rd day claiming the lives of nearly 40,300 people, most of them women and children.

Iranian President also emphasized importance of solidarity among the different sections of the country and said that the solution to the issues in Iran is nothing but boosting solidarity.

Pezeshkian said,” Although the entire world was mobilized to undermine our Islamic revolution in its early days, it was due to the solidarity of our nation that enemies could not seize even one inch of our soil."

Iran’s chief of executive defined Islam as the path of the right, justice and fairness and said,” No matter what the religion of a nation is, if their belief and behavior reveal justice, then it is a Muslim nation.”

President Pezeshkian delivered the speech in a ceremony held on the occasion of the Government Week in Iran.
