In a phone call congratulating Abbas Araghchi on his appointment, Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani and Araghchi both stressed the importance of maintaining regional peace and security.

During their conversation, Tajani expressed concern about the rising insecurity in the region and called for restraint from all parties, highlighting the need for Iran's role in reducing tensions.
The recent assassination of Haniyeh has intensified discussions around regional stability, with Iranian officials vowing to respond strongly to what they describe as acts of aggression by the Israeli regime.
