Iran’s team of students have become first in the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA) 2024 held in Brazil.
Hananeh Khorramdashti, Arvin Rasoolzadeh, Mohammad Mahdi Keshavarzi, Aria Fateh Kerdari and Ali Naderi Lordjani were the five members of team Iran, all of whom won gold medals in the 17th round of the international competition, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
The International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA) 2024 was held on August 17-27 with more than 250 students from 57 countries participating the scientific event.
With three gold medals and two silver ones, Iran ranked third in the 16th round of the IOAA held in Poland.
