The Ministry of Health in Gaza, in partnership with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), yesterday announced a programme aimed at counting and registering physical disability cases caused by Israel’s war on the Gaza Strip since 7 October.
It indicated that a medical team will be formed to evaluate the cases.
The injured were asked to provide their medical reports and a copy of their ID card by 24 September.
According to the health ministry, some 93,778 Palestinians have been injured since 7 October.
A large number of the injured are still receiving treatment in hospitals including in intensive care due to serious injuries.
The Israeli intensive bombings have caused amputations of limbs and many disabilities, affecting all age groups alike, but an accurate census of those who had been disabled has not yet been conducted.
