Sheikh Mohammed Rashid Qabbani, the Grand Mufti of Lebanon and the most prominent Sunni Muslim cleric termed a meeting between Lebanese Christian and Muslim leaders as historic.

Beirut - Taqrib News Agency (TNA) - Qabbani said at the opening ceremony of a meeting of the spiritual summit at Dar el Fatwa that "our meeting today, is historic and extraordinary."
 
"Dar el Fatwa is for all of us like Lebanon is our nation," the grand sunni muslim told the meeting.

He added that Christians and Muslims are committed to security and rely on each other, adding that by unity and solidarity they embrace their possessions and citizens.

The sunni leader confirmed that no one should fear anyone in Lebanon or the Arab region.
