The Palestinian Civil Defence announced on Friday that the Israeli army destroyed about 25 kilometres of Jenin’s city, camp streets and neighbourhoods in the military operation lasting around ten days.

It pointed out that the destruction included street infrastructure, water, electricity and sewage networks.
The statement explained that the Civil Defence crews, in cooperation with partner institutions, have begun reconstruction work: “It is difficult to determine the damage to the city and camp at the moment. This requires more time, as the occupation also partially destroyed homes, shops and streets.”
Local sources reported on Friday that the Israeli army withdrew from the cities of Tulkarm and Jenin, as well as their camps in the northern occupied West Bank, following a military operation resulting in 39 martyrs.
At dawn on 28 August, the Israeli army began a large-scale military operation in the northern West Bank, which included the cities of Jenin and its camp, Tulkarm and its camps, the city of Tubas and Far’a camp.
In parallel with its war on Gaza, the Israeli army expanded its operations, while settlers escalated their attacks in the West Bank, with the martyrdom of 691 people, injuries of 5,700 and the arrests of more than 10,400, according to official Palestinian institutions.
