TNA - Beirut - Syrian President Bashar Assad avowed that crisis in Syria is en route to mitigation, during a meeting with Lebanese former Prime Minister Selim Hoss in Damascus.
"Painful incidents had ended and stability is being restored to damaged cities," a statement by Hoss's bureau quoted Assad as saying.
The pair met over the unrest in Syria and its repercussions on the (Arab) region in general and Lebanon in particular, state-run Syrian news agency, SANA, had reported earlier today.
SANA also quoted Hoss as saying Dr. al-Huss stressed that Syria has a key role in preserving the Arabism and it is targeted due to this role.
He also considered that any political move in the region in the future must be based on the pan-Arab thought which preserve the unity of the Arab societies.
