Kenyan scholar calls for Islamic unity to back Palestine

15 Sep 2024 - 16:35

Yusuf Abdulrahman Nzibo, an expert from Kenya, has stressed the need to form a common front to fight foes, especially the Zionist regime.

Muslims should come together to confront the ongoing challenges faced by the Islamic Ummah, said Nzibo at the third webinar of the 38th International Islamic Unity Conference scheduled to be held on September 14-21.

Poverty, malnutrition, hunger, instability, and illiteracy are some of the problems that require special attention in Islamic countries, he underlined.

He attached importance to the unity based on Islamic teachings and values.

Commenting on the current woes as consequences of the Gaza war, he said that Palestinians including women and children starve to death.

Hospitals are bombed and young Palestinians are put behind bars for no reason, the Kenyan expert noted.

Those youth have been imprisoned merely because they have fought for the liberation of their occupied country, Nzibo further noted.

“It is the Muslims' imperative duty to provide the nation of Palestine with food, shelter, and medicine.”

We must create hope and motivate the people of Palestine, the expert pointed out.

He called on the Islamic countries to highlight the injustice Palestinians go through in the international arena including the UN Security Council.
