Molvi Abdul Aziz Mansour Afghanistan, a lawmaker from Afghanistan, has stressed the need to render assistance to the defenseless people of Palestine amid the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip.

Helping Palestinians who are under unprecedented oppression is imperative, said Mansour at the 38th International Islamic Unity Conference scheduled which kicked off In Tehran.

Unity is not a temporary notion, the Afghan expert pointed out.  

He described unity as one of the main principles and regulations in the Islamic culture.

He said that Islam considers Muslims as brothers who must take responsibility toward each other.

The new edition of the conference entitled “Islamic Cooperation to Achieve Common Values with an Emphasis on Palestine Issue” opened at the Islamic Conference Hall on Thursday September 19.

More than 150 elites, prayer leaders, intellectuals and activists from across the world attend the conference underway on September 19-21 with the main focus of the event on the issue of Palestine.
 
The major Islamic event is annually held by World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought in part of efforts for the Muslim intellectuals to convene and discuss the developments across the world of Islam.
