The religion of Islam has united all Muslims through unity and solidarity, Shaikh Zuhair Juaid, the Head of Islamic Action Front says.
Addressing the worshipers before the main sermon of the Friday prayers, Juaid hailed the Lebanese nation for its bravery in line with the Axis of Resistance.
Some [powers] seek to create rift among Shia and Sunni Muslims, he said.
Juaid, who is Iran as one of the participants of the 38th Islamic Unity Conference, urged all Muslims to act in unison.
It does not matter you are from Iran, Iraq, Syria, or Yemen, you should be united and back Palestinians, he said.
We need to take steps according to the directives of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei.
The new edition of the conference entitled “Islamic Cooperation to Achieve Common Values with an Emphasis on Palestine Issue” opened at the Islamic Conference Hall on Thursday September 19.
More than 150 elites, prayer leaders, intellectuals and activists from across the world attend the conference underway on September 19-21 with the main focus of the event on the issue of Palestine.
The major Islamic event is annually held by World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought in part of efforts for the Muslim intellectuals to convene and discuss the developments across the world of Islam.
