Foreign guests to 38th Islamic Unity Conference attend Tehran Friday prayer

A group of the foreign Muslim scholars to the 38th Islamic Unity Conference attended the Friday prayer in Tehran.


The participation of the Shia and Sunni scholars to the 38th Islamic Unity Conference in Tehran’s Friday prayer comes on the second day of the three-day event underway in the Iranian capital, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Also, the head of Lebanon’s Islamic Action Front delivered speech ahead of the main sermon by the interim Friday prayer leader, Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammad Hassan Abu-Torabi Fard.
 
Sheikh Zuhair Juaid highlighted importance of solidarity in the Islamic nation and warned against the powers seeking sedition among Muslims.
 
The Friday prayer leader of Tehran referred to the consensus of all Islamic denominations on hailing the household of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in the daily prayers.
 
He called on followers of the different Islamic denominations for mutual respect as part of efforts to enhance their unity.
 
The foreign Shia and Sunni scholars are in Tehran to attend the 38th edition of the annual event held by Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought concurrent with the Islamic Unity Week which marks the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
