Iranian President, Masoud Pezeshkian, stressed that if the United Nations had correctly done its job, then a regime should not have been able to easily target the women and children in hospitals, shelters and schools (in Gaza).
In a briefing session ahead of his departure for New York to attend the annual UN general assembly, Masoud Pezeshkian said,” A criminal regime commits crimes and bombs anywhere it wishes and then justifies its crimes by claims of targeting alleged terrorist hideouts, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He said,” The worst issue is that some countries claiming to be advocates of human rights also echo Israeli claims.”
Iran’s head of executive said his trip will include meetings with the officials from other countries to exchange views on peace, security, economic cooperation, investment and tourism.
President Pezeshkian is scheduled to meet with the Iranians in the United States and discuss efforts in line with Iranophobia.
The Iranian President made the comments at Imam Khomeini airport ahead of his departure for New York to attend the 79th meeting of the UN general assembly.
