Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has called the retaliatory missile strike on Israel as a ‘decisive response’ given to the regime’s aggression.
His comment came following the Tuesday night Operation True Promise II that targeted three strategic military bases near Tel Aviv.
“In accordance with the legitimate rights and with the goal of ensuring peace and security for Iran and the region, a decisive response was delivered to the Zionist regime’s aggression,” Pezeshkian’s posting on X read.
“This operation was carried out in defense of Iran’s interests and citizens. Let (Israeli Prime Minister) Netanyahu know that Iran is not belligerent, but it stands firm against any threat. This is only a fraction of our power. Do not engage in conflict with Iran.”
Iranian missiles pounded the Israeli occupied territories in response to the assassination of senior Resistance leaders by the regime, and its barbarism in the besieged Gaza Strip and the deadly bombardment of Lebanon.
