11 Oct 2024 - 15:00

In a significant address during the thirtieth anniversary of Tajikistan's Constitution, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, urged the heads of parliaments worldwide to actively respond to the violent and reckless actions of the Zionist regime against Palestinian women and children.

Ghalibaf asserted that the Zionist regime's reliance on airstrikes and targeted assassinations would not compensate for its strategic failures, but rather hasten its downfall. He urged the regime to abandon its violent tactics and to pursue a ceasefire that respects the basic rights of the people of Gaza and Lebanon.

In his remarks, he highlighted the historical and cultural ties between Iran and Tajikistan, stating that the shared Persian language serves as a foundation for intellectual and cultural solidarity.
He called for enhanced cooperation in academic, cultural, and scientific fields, noting that Tajikistan's rich natural resources and strategic location provide ample opportunities for development.
Ghalibaf reaffirmed Iran's commitment to fostering collaborative projects in energy, infrastructure, agriculture, and industry, emphasizing the importance of bilateral, multilateral, and regional cooperation to address contemporary global challenges, including unilateralism, terrorism, and climate change.
the Speaker of Iran's Parliament concluded by reiterating that the strategy of the Islamic Republic is grounded in good neighborliness, de-escalation, and comprehensive cooperation, advocating for peaceful coexistence as the key to progress and development in the region.
