Israel's Attacks to Receive Commensurate Retaliation: Pres. Pezeshkian
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, speaking on the sidelines of the commemoration ceremony for martyr Yahya Sinwar at the Hamas office in Tehran on Tuesday, said: "The society we live in, unfortunately, is governed by regimes and powers that claim to uphold human rights and international laws, but they themselves violate all the laws and rights they claim to adhere to. They fight against people and support a government that has displaced people from their homes and made them refugees."
Pezeshkian noted, "This is not a war that can be ended by killing people. It is a war that can only end with the establishment of justice and consideration for all human beings, not through force and the denial of rights."
Asked about a potential Israeli attack on Iran, the president said: "Any attack will draw a proportionate response."
Masoud Pezeshkian, as the first guest this morning, Tuesday, October 22, attended the Palestinian Resistance Movement office in Tehran to offer condolences on the martyrdom of Yahya Sinwar, Hamas leader. He also met and spoke with Khaled Qaddoumi, Hamas representative in Iran.
