A military base used by the US troops in eastern Syria has reportedly been targeted by a barrage of rockets.
Lebanon’s al-Mayadeen television reported on Tuesday that six rockets were fired at the US occupation base at the Conoco gas field in Deir Ezzor, eastern Syria.
A field source said that four of the rockets have successfully hit their targets inside the military base at the Conoco gas field in the countryside of Deir Ezzor.
The source also confirmed loud explosions inside the US military base adding that the rockets hit the radar station inside Conoco gas field base.
Shortly after this al-Mayadeen reported that the US forces conducted strikes against seven villages east of the Euphrates River, which are under the control of the Syrian government.
These villages were targeted -- Hatla, Marat, Khasham, and the outskirts of Huwaijat Saker and Huwaijat al-Muray'iya in the Deir Ezzor countryside.
Iraqi resistance forces have conducted dozens of strikes on the US-run military facilities in both Iraq and Syria amid growing anti-US sentiments in the region over Washington’s support for Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza.
