At least 55 Palestinians have lost their lives and scores more injured in new Israeli strikes targeting Beit Lahia in northern Gaza Strip.
Medical sources reported that most of those killed were women and children and many of the injured are in critical condition.
Dozens were also missing in the Israeli bombing of a residential building consisting of five floors, which houses about 150 displaced persons in Beit Lahia.
They indicated that dozens of citizens are still under the rubble, while appeals continue for help in searching for survivors, or retrieving the bodies of the slain Palestinians from under the rubble as the civil defense and ambulance are not able to reach them.
According to local sources, there are more than 20 serious injuries that arrived at Kamal Adwan Hospital, which has been subjected to continuous artillery shelling since dawn today.
The northern Gaza Strip, specifically Jabalia and Beit Lahia, has been subjected to siege, destruction, the threat of famine and forced displacement for 25 days, during which the entry of food, water, fuel and medicine has been prevented, resulting in the killing of several civilians.
