Several Syrian army military personnel have been injured as Israeli regime launched airstrikes early on Saturday targeting sites in Aleppo and Idlib countryside in northwestern areas of the Arab country.
Syrian media reported that the attack has also led to material losses.
The attack targeted the Scientific Research Complex in the Safira area of Aleppo countryside early this morning. It was also mentioned that the bombardment targeted defense factories and positions of armed groups in the area.
There were reports of intensive flights by unidentified aircraft in the skies over southern Syria prior to the strikes.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented 131 aggressions carried out by Israel targeting Syrian territory since the beginning of 2024, including 106 aerial and 25 ground attacks.
Syria has repeatedly called on the UN for an immediate measure to end Israeli atrocities against civilian targets and also violation of the Arab country’s sovereignty.
