Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament Nabih Berri, who is in an official visit to Armenia, made a long address to the Armenian Parliament which gave the speaker a standing ovation before he made his speech.
Berri focused on the Arab-Israeli struggle and the Israeli war practices against Lebanon during his speech.
He noted that many nations in the Middle East are being terrorized by NATO and Israel.
"We must have a clear vision and perceptions when we assess the revolutions that are springing in many countries in the Middle East. We also notice with alarm the attempts of certain external powers that are trying to exploit these revolutions in the Middle East and to alter the policies of the new governments in order to suit the policies of these powers," Berri said.
The speaker warned that some of these nations have clear ambitions in the oil and gas wealth of Arab states.
He also indicated that some of the Western nations are exercising double standard polices when it comes to dealing with Arab counties.
"But all these attempts by these countries will not yield any results because the wall of the Arab regimes will crumble one after the other."
Berri paid an important part in his speech to the role of the Lebanese resistance in liberating the occupied lands.
"It is the right of Lebanon to be committed to the resistance in the face of the continuous Israeli violations. It is also the right of Syria to maintain its steadfastness policy until the return of the Golan Heights."
Berri also thanked the Armenian officials for the warm welcome they awarded him, adding that there is lot of common grounds between the Lebanese and Armenian people.
He added that both the Lebanese and Armenian people have endured suffering and occupation, stressing that the Lebanese people sympathize with the Armenian people who endured lot of pain as a result of the massacres committed against them.
