Taghribnews (TNA) - Iran, Russia Commit to Strengthening High-Level Relations

Iran's Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref expressed a strong commitment to enhancing relations with the Russian Federation during a meeting with Sergey Tsivilev, Russia's Minister of Energy and head of the Russian side of the Joint Commission.

In his remarks, Aref underscored the importance of leveraging existing capacities to boost trade and economic exchanges, highlighting the necessity of implementing agreements previously reached in their bilateral relations.

He noted that ongoing consultations between Iran and Russia are crucial, especially in the current regional and global context. The frequent meetings among high-ranking officials reflect both countries' determination to elevate their partnership.

Aref reiterated that the Islamic Republic of Iran places great importance on long-term, comprehensive cooperation with Russia.

The Russian Energy Minister also provided Aref with a report on the Joint Economic Commission's activities, emphasizing its critical role in fostering bilateral cooperation.
