The Leader of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, has called on Iran’s navy forces to enhance combat capabilities and highlight that to the enemies.

Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in a meeting with the Islamic Republic Navy commanders on Wednesday November 27 which marks the anniversary of Operation Morvarid, a victorious confrontation with Iraqi navy in 1980, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The Leader called navy as a vital and effective force hailing its different sections.

Ayatollah Khamenei said,” The focus of the armed forces, particularly the Navy, in all activities and planning should be on enhancing readiness and combat capabilities.”

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, stressed that the combat capabilities as the deterrent factor in face of the enemies and said,” The key mission of the armed forces is to prevent aggression.”

“The action and combat capabilities of the country must be highlighted to the ill-wishers so that they deeply understand that any aggression will be followed by heavy tolls for them”, said the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

At the beginning of the meeting, the commander of Iranian Navy, Shahram Irani, gave a report on the plans and activities of navy forces in different sections.
