Taghribnews (TNA) - Terrorist Act in Syria Is Zionist-American Plan: Iranian Speaker

The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, in a phone call with his Syrian counterpart, stated that the fight against terrorism must be decisive and said that the activation of terrorist groups in Syria immediately after the implementation of the ceasefire in Lebanon is a Zionist-American plan.

Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, in a call with Hammouda Sabbagh, Speaker of the Syrian Parliament said: The Islamic Republic of Iran considers Syria an essential part of the resistance front. We support Syria’s fight against terrorist groups.

Ghalibaf emphasized that cooperation between the Iranian and Syrian parliaments in international forums is essential at this juncture.
Hammouda Sabbagh, the Speaker of the Syrian Parliament, also provided details of the Syrian army's actions in the fight against terrorist-takfiri groups and said: "We have a good situation in the fight against terrorists and the Syrian Arab Army is making progress, which will lead to the elimination of terrorists."
He added: "Terrorists are trying to prove themselves in the field; but the Syrian state, with a 13-year history of fighting terrorism, will not allow evildoers and foreign military forces to achieve final success."
The Speaker of the Syrian Parliament emphasized: "I appreciate the reliable cooperation of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the fight against terrorism."
