The Secretary General of the United Nations says the ‘catastrophe’ in Gaza reveals a ‘complete collapse of our humanity’ amid the ongoing Israeli bloodletting in the Gaza Strip for more than a year.
Antonio Guterres made the comment on his X social media account saying, "The catastrophe in Gaza is nothing less than a complete collapse of our humanity."
Guterres urged for an end to the unabating Israeli crimes in Gaza saying, "This nightmare must stop".
The UN Secretary-General stressed that "we cannot continue to turn a blind eye" to what is happening in the Strip.
More than 14 months of Israeli war on Gaza has left over 44,600 people dead and nearly 105,000 others wounded.
