The Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has deplored the United States and Israeli regime for the terrorist and extremist groups in the region.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, speaking to a meeting of Muslims scholars held at Islamic university of Malaysia, said the different religions and denominations in the Islamic countries live in coexistence and the terrorism and extremism in these countries are brought by the US and occupying Israeli regime, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He referred to the meeting of the Shia and Sunni scholars in Malaysia stressing that there is no problem among the different Islamic denominations.

The senior Iranian cleric made the comments in a meeting of the scholars from across the globe held on the sideline of the Russia-Islamic World meeting entitled “Russia and Islamic World: Cooperation in Emerging Multipolar Era.”


More than 200 representatives including officials, political and religious figures and also public figures from 32 countries will attend the meeting in the Malaysian capital.

Among the participants were the chairman of the Strategic Vision Group “Russia-Islamic World” and President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanovic, Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Sti Anwsr bin Ibrahim and deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, Andrew Rudenko.
