Over 50 Palestinians killed in Israeli strikes on schools

At least 50 Palestinian civilians have lost their lives as a result of Israeli air and artillery strikes targeting four schools sheltering displaced people across Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours.
A spokesman for the civil defense said that the Israeli occupation army persists in bombing one school after another and killing more displaced people across the Gaza Strip.
“We need human rights organizations to monitor the dangerous weapons used against us. There are mutilations clearly seen in the bodies of the martyrs because of the ammunition used,” the spokesman said.
He pointed out that thousands of the wounded people were martyred because the civil defense workers did not have the equipment and means to rescue them, while many others would die due to the absence of proper medical care in Gaza.
Earlier, the civil defense service said that about 40 people had been killed in a strike on a school sheltering displaced families in Beit Hanoun in the far north of the Gaza strip.
At least 20 civilians, including children, were killed and others were injured on Sunday night in an Israeli shelling targeting a UNRWA-run school sheltering displaced families in western Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.
Since the onset of the relentless Israeli aggression on the besieged enclave by land, sea, and air on October 7, 2023, nearly 45,000 civilians have been killed, the majority of whom are women and children, and 106,759 others have been injured.
This toll remains incomplete, as thousands of victims remain trapped under rubble or scattered along the roads, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue crews due to the relentless Israeli shelling and massive amount of debris.
