The Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought highlighted Islamic unity and sovereignty among the values every Islamic country firstly demands.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari made the remarks at the 3rd Great Convention of Sayyids, held in Tehran on Thursday, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said,” Unity and consensus is the first value that we need today.”

He reiterated sovereignty as another value targeted by enemies of the Islamic countries and said,” Enemies intend to disappoint us with the sovereignty of our countries and disintegrate the world of Islam.”

He warned against hostile plots to divide the Islamic countries and said,” The more disunited our countries are, the more benefit enemies will make.”

According to the cleric, organization of such conferences is an important step for building discourse in order to prepare ourselves for a hybrid war by the enemies.

The Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought made the remarks at the third Great Convention of Sayyids that converged hundreds of Sayyids (antecedents of Prophet Mohammad) from across the world.
