Israeli military sites come under Yemeni drone strike

Yemeni Armed Forces have conducted fresh retaliatory attacks against Israeli military sites in the occupied territories with explosive-laden drones.
The spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces announced in a statement that the country’s drone unit had carried out an operation against an Israeli military target in the city of Ashkelon, located 50 kilometers south of Tel Aviv, on Monday, using a homegrown and long-range Yaffa kamikaze drone.
Brigadier General Yahya Saree added that another drone strike hit a military target in Tel Aviv.
The Yemeni spokesman said both operations were part of the fifth phase of the battle against the Israeli enemy, and successfully achieved their desired objectives.
The Yemeni Armed Forces will continue their operations, and will strike all Israeli facilities within the occupied territories, he said. Such strikes will not stop unless the ongoing aggression on Gaza stops and the siege is completely lifted, Saree pointed out.
This comes two days after at least 20 Israeli settlers sustained injuries after a Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile launched from Yemen struck Tel Aviv’s southern Jaffa area.
The missile launch triggered sirens to sound throughout the central sector of the occupied lands at 3:44 a.m. local time (0144 GMT) on Saturday, sending millions rushing to shelters from their beds, according to Israeli media outlets.
The Israeli military said its “attempted interceptions did not succeed.” It stated that the details of the incident were being investigated.
Videos on social media showed the moment of impact and the failed interceptions.
Footage also showed exploded windows and debris in several surrounding apartments, apparently as a result of the shockwave.
Yemenis have declared their open support for Palestine’s struggle against the Israeli occupation since the regime launched a devastating war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, after the territory’s resistance movements carried out Operation Al-Aqsa Flood against the occupying entity.
