The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei said the United States has lost a great wealth and economic benefits in victory of Iran’s Islamic Revolution therefore seeks opportunities to make up for its loss.

Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in a meeting with thousands of the people form the holy city of Qom held in Imam Khomeini (RA) Husseinya on Wednesday morning, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The meeting of the Leader with the people from Qom was held on the anniversary of the popular demonstration held in the holy city against former Pahlavi regime back in 1978.

The Leader of Islamic Revolution referred to those critical of Iran over denying negotiations with the US and said,” Iran was released from US domination (by Islamic Revolution); therefore, Washington has grown hostility with the Islamic Republic.”

Ayatollah Khamenei added,” European countries are not a close friend for the Iranian nation as well, we are fully aware of that but the case of Europeans is different from the United States in that the US lost a great wealth and a massive political and economic interest due to victory of the Islamic Revolution.”

The Leader noted,” The US has made massive investments during the past 45 years to retake and dominate Iran; therefore, it is seeking ways to retaliate its failure by any possible means.”

Ayatollah Khamenei addressed the Iranian decision makers in the cultural, economic and social domains not to consider the US demands or stance of the American and Zionists rather prioritize the interests of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

The Leader also hailed the resolution of the Iranian President against the ‘Zionist’ Israeli regime as well as the US supports and provocations calling on the officials not to submit to those hostile with the Iranian nation and the Islamic Republic.

Ayatollah Khamenei also warned against the enemies’ anti-Iran propaganda and said,” Enemy, in its soft warfare against Iran, spreads lies and distances realities from the public mind.”

The Leader said,” Today’s key mission for our cultural institutions is to tear down the illusion of enemies’ determination and not let the enemies manipulate the people’s mind. That is what the people in Qom did in those days.”

The comment referring to the demonstration of the people in Qom back in 1977 protesting an article, part of it against the late founder of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khomeini (RA).

People from all walks of life attended the meeting with the Leader of Islamic Revolution to renew their vows to support the Leader and the Islamic Revolution
