Dean of the Arab detainees released from the Israeli prisons, Samir al-Qintar stressed that Syria is facing a clear American aggression represented in encouraging the criminals and the agents to carry weapons and to target the innocent civilians and the members of the army with aim of spreading violence and chaos.
In a statement upon visiting wounded members of the army at Tishreen Military Hospital, Qintar called upon the Syrian and Arab mass media to deal with what Syria is facing as an American aggression because the country which wants the armed groups to stay and practice acts of sabotage in Syria is an aggressive country.
He added that the gunmen are implementing an American plot against Syria, saying " Gunmen's role is not only restricted to killing, but they also represent their leaders who send money and weapons to them to kill the innocents."
He voiced full solidarity with the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army, thanking them on behalf of all the Lebanese people, saying " They defend all of Lebanon not only Syria, and they fight to preserve Syria's freedom, independence, immunity and resistance and to maintain the resistance in Palestine and Lebanon."
He affirmed that the hand of whoever carries a weapon against Syria must be cut, particularly as Syria was the main reason for the victory of the resistance in Lebanon between the years of 2000 and 2006.
