Urdu speaking people can read Al-Ghadir, a ۲۰-volume book by late Alame Amini, which is mainly on the topic of Ghadeer Event, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Translation of this book to Urdu was a great ambition for Allame Ali Akhtari Razavi, Indian literary figure, who was a religion student when late Allame Amini took a trip to India to research and write Al-Ghadir.
Originally written in Arabic, Al-Ghadir is a collection of narrations of Ghadeer Event by several companions of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) many of them Sunni clerics.
Late Alame Amini referred to the libraries in several countries including Egypt, Iraq and Pakistan and according to the writer he had read more than ۱۰'۰۰۰ books besides his constant referring to about ۱۰۰'۰۰۰ books.
Ghadeer Event or the Event of Ghadeer Kumm happened during the Farewell Pilgrimage of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) to Mecca when on the way back he gathered his companions near Pond of Khumm and introduced Imam Ali (As) as his successor and asked for the Muslims allegiance with Imam Ali (AS) and Ahlul Bayt (AS) the holy household of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
