Sheikh Afif Nabulsi warned of foreign intervention risks and its negative impact on relations between East and West, and what can result from behind that of tensions and animosities congestion that do not serve peace and security in the region and the world.

After receiving the French Ambassador in Lebanon, Denis Pieton, His Eminence stated "The issue of foreign intervention in our region is not justified at all, our problem with some Western systems is because they do not consider the lens of justice and truth, but from the perspective of the interests and the circles of influence. 

On the Syrian issue, Nabulsi attacked the Western way of dealing with the Syrian file, which in escalating positions issued by Western governments, it do not help security and stability, and hoped We "that these governments encourage internal dialogue and help promote reconciliation." 

For his part, the French Ambassador said: "My visit to the Sheikh is for consultation with the religious leaders of Lebanon and we are talking to the Lebanese regardless of their political affiliation and religious beliefs.
"It was a good opportunity today to talk with His Eminence about the Syrian issue and the International Tribunal and it was necessary to know his point of view." He added
