Strenuous efforts to free the kidnapped Iranians underway
Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi expressed Iran's concern over the fate of Iranian engineers kidnapped a few days ago in Homs, Syria.
In a telephone conversation with his Syrian counterpart Walid al-Moallem, Salehi expressed his deep regret about the explosions that took place recently in Damascus, delivering his sympathy to the families of the victims and injured.
For his part, Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem asserted the Syrian government's keenness to make all the efforts to release the Iranian engineers and assure their return to their families.
The Iranian engineers were kidnapped last week by unknown assailants in Homs, and were among the technical staff who works in the Homs power station.
