Lebanese Deputy Muhammad Raad warned Tuesday of the sensitivity of the local security situation, especially after the decision of opening Qlayaat airport, as foreign members have been planned to enter the country for unrest operations.
The cheif of "Loyalty to Resistance" bloc's warning remark came upon his meeting with the former Lebanese President Emil Lahoud for discussing overall developments at the local and regional scenes.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Raad stated about the Litani Project launching, which took place previously that day in the Grand Serial, MP Raad believed that "signing the Litani Project implementation deal is a good beginning to rightfully use the Lebanese waters that are wasted into the sea".
In a related context, Hizbullah Secretary General Deputy His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem assured that "attempts of sowing strife, whether sectarian or other will not be fruitful in Lebanon." He considered the "foreign warnings in this context as failing attempts."
Sheikh Qassem explained that all previous experience has proved that Hizbullah and its allies do utmost efforts to prevent any emerging sedition, further elaborating that Hizbullah does not respond to many fabricated statements in order to prevent any attempts of strife in Lebanon and the region.
The SG Deputy stressed that "Res. 1995 is deceased since long, and that Hizbullah is not concerned of this illegitimate resolution at all."
Following a meeting with Head of Al-Mourabitoun movement in Lebanon Brigadier General Mustafa Hamdan, Sheikh Qassem commented on the UN Chief Ban Ki-Moon's latest statement issued from Lebanon, demanding him to present suggestions to resolve the situation in the region, instead of using Lebanon as platform to launch stances against Syria.
Also, he stated that Ki-Moon should have rather mentioned the "Israeli" ongoing aggression and aerial violations against Lebanon, as well as its occupation to the Kafarshouba Hills and Shebaa Farms.
"He [Ban Ki-Moon] should condemn "Israel" and threaten with the International Community, instead of giving the Lebanese lessons and stances that pour into the interest of the US-"Israeli" scheme," Sheikh Qassem affirmed.
The Hizbullah official also asserted that Lebanon will remain strong owing to its three points of strength: the army, the people, and the resistance, which constitute the equation responsible for safeguarding the stability of Lebanon on all levels.
