Imam Khomeini photo, poster festival held in Tehran

Iran has held the third festival of photos and posters on the late founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini in the capital city of Tehran.

The festival dubbed The Eye of the Heart hosted many artists and ordinary visitors at the Iranian Artists Forum (IAF) on June 1, 2013.

Some 36 posters and 45 photos, displaying personality and life of Imam Khomeini, were exhibited at the event.

Those artists who participated in the festival were required to centre on the themes of “The Image of Imam Khomeini” and “Imam Khomeini and the People.”

The competition’s themes were offered by the Institute for Compilation and Publication of Imam Khomeini’s Works.

The one-day festival wrapped up during an award ceremony for both sections of poster and photo.

Vahid Bahrami, Masoud Shakibaie and Mehdi Mousavi won the awards of poster section while Eshaq Aqaie, Mona Ghaffari and Marzieh Heydarzadeh were named as the winners of photo section.
