Prominent Iranian cleric meets with Australian ambassador to Tehran and major representative of Muslims in the country announcing the preparation of Iran to cooperate with Australia for expansion of Islamic sciences.

Grand Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, met with Australia ambassador to Tehran and Professor Abdullah Saeed, Australian academic and scholar of Islamic studies, announcing the readiness for cooperation with Australia to expand Islamic sciences, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The cleric referred to Islamic researches carried out in Qom Seminary expressing regret that the results have not been reflected in world universities.
 
Iranian religious figure highlighted preparation of Iran to detail it’s Islamic and Qur’an researches in international conferences proposing launching an Islamic university in Australia in an attempt to expand Islamic studies and bringing Islamic denominations together.
 
Professor Saeed in this meeting explained some of the activities carried out in Australia Islamic centers and referred to 1.5 million Muslims from 120 nationalities living in Australia expressing gratitude for supports of the Australian government for Muslim community.
 
He said more than 40 Islamic institutes active in Australia and referred to attempts to launch centers with both Islamic and Australian features.
 
Professor Saeed also expressed his interest to make use of Islamic researches performed in Iran.
