'Enemies aim at Iran Majlis and Assembly of Expert'
"Iranian people proved they are abided by Velayat Faqih and the System of Islamic Republic of Iran," stressed Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought.

Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought Ayatollah Mohsen Araki hailed Iranian people in following Supreme Leader's commands stressing, "They are abided by Velayat Faqih and the System of Islamic Republic of Iran," reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Making his remarks in an exclusive interview with Sobhe Sadeq, President of Iran Top unity center underscored, "the constitution in which the features of leader is stipulated is in point of fact a criterion for our revolution."
Ayatollah Mohsen Araki went on to point out, "The constitution has been emerged from the revolution and the people's will." The grand religious cleric went on to highlight the fact that the enemies of Iranian people had aimed at Iran Maklis (Parliament) and Assembly of Expert more than any other time.
In his line, Iranians' foes were advancing their willful objectives against the high status of Supreme Leader and Velayat Faqih.
Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought placed emphasis on the prime importance of Assembly of Expert and jurisprudential experts in Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, "Assembly of Expert enjoys a spiritual place and legal statute in Iran, forwarding two responsibilities."
Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought underscored that Religious figures of the Assembly of Experts were tasked with appointing the Leader and monitoring his performance.
On February 26, Iranians went to the polls to elect 88 jurisprudential experts out of more than 800 prospective candidates for the 5th Assembly of Experts.
The first elections for the Assembly of Experts were held in December 1982 and the Assembly convened in 1983. Seventy-six of the total 83 members were elected in the first round, the rest in the second.
The Assembly of Experts is a Council of 88 jurisprudential experts that elect the Supreme Leader, and oversee his actions. The members of the Assembly are elected every eight years directly by the people of Iran.
It is worthwhile to note that Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought, Ayatollah Mohsen Araki and President of Surpeme Council of the World Forum, Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri were also selected by Iranian people as memebers of the Assembly.
