'Full security prevailing in Iran'

Intelligence Minister Seyyed Mahmoud Alavi underlined that Iran is enjoying a sustainable security situation as compared with other regional countries.
"Thanks to good interactions among executive, security and law enforcement bodies as well as close cooperation between people and the supreme leadership, the Islamic Iran is enjoying a unique and sustainable security situation," Alavi said on Monday.

He reiterated that the armed and intelligence forces were capable of safeguarding security of people across the country, including border regions.

Alavi said, "Iran has been monitoring even the slightest moves made by the Takfiri Daersh terrorists, stripping them of the remotest opportunity to realize their dream of fomenting insecurity in Iran."

In January, Iranian Ground Force Commander Brigadier General Ahmadreza Pourdastan said the Daesh has evacuated areas closer than 40km to the Iranian border after receiving relevant warnings from Tehran.

"When the terrorist and Takfiri Daesh grouplet entered Iraq from the country's Western borders and reached near the Iranian borders, the Ground Force was fully ready to suppress the terrorist grouplet," Pourdastan said.

"At that time, in addition to full preparedness at the borders, we drew a redline 40km inside the Iraqi soil and underlined that if they passed this redline, they would be given a crushing response by the Islamic Republic of Iran's Armed Forces," he added.

"The Daesh received the message and rapidly moved away from the specified areas," Pourdastan said.
