Al Azhar to launch Islamic proximity institution
Sheikh Ahmad Karimah, prominent Fiq’h professor of Al Azhar University, called Islamic proximity as a principle to carry out Islamic Sharia and a strategy for Muslims to confront the Zionist regime of Israel rather than sparking clashes among themselves, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Egyptian cleric announced the launch of a proximity campaign counting Shia, Sunni and Ibadi as the most important denominations which will be included in the campaign following the launch of Islamic proximity institution in the country.

The cleric noted that the institution is going to be launched by cooperation of some other Egyptian scholars and proximity activists focusing on mottos of “Cooperation on Commonalities and Tolerating Disagreements” and “My Words are Correct though Might be Wrong and My Opposing Words are Wrong though Might be Correct.”

Egyptian figure refused to name the scholars participating in the proposal though vowed that the movement will kick off its activities with speeches and conferences in the coming days.

Sheikh Ahmad Krimah stressed Islamic Proximity as the factor which will heal sectarianism among Muslims preventing disintegration of the Middle East so that Muslims will substitute domestic clashes with confrontation with the Zionist regime of Israel.
