Gov’t determined to bolster economy

In this meeting that took place on Friday in Ayatollah Saafi Golpayegai’s house in Qom city, President Rouhani briefed him on the measures taken by the government in resolving economic problems of the country during the hard times of sanctions.

He added: “Above government’s efforts, reaching good economic and cultural conditions requires public unity, integrity and empathy in the country”.

On the poor conditions of the countries of the region, Dr Rouhani added: “Today the Islamic Republic of Iran, as a safe and stable country, is making efforts to secure peace and security in the region”.

Referring to the massive turnout in the latest parliamentary and Assembly of Experts elections, he expressed hope that the government can make steps in solving the problems of the country, having blessings and support from the Maraji and clerics.

During the meeting, Ayatollah Saafi Golpayegai also wished success for the president and government officials and said: “People are more hopeful of the future and problems will be solved by your tactfulness”.

“We should actively participate and cooperate in international communities,” added Ayatollah Saafi Golpayegai.
