ءeeting on Russia-Islamic world cooperation underway in Kazan

Kazan, the capital city of the Russian Republic of Tatarstan, is hosting a four-day meeting of the Strategic Vision Group "Russia and the Islamic World" from Wednesday.

During the meeting, the participants will discuss ways of developing cooperative relations between Russia and the Islamic world in order to face regional and international challenges through the promotion of security and peace, dialogue and coexistence among followers of religions, and the dissemination of traditional spiritual values.

Director of Moscow Institute of Islamic Civilization Dr Said Hibatullah Kamilev, who is also a member of the Supreme Council for Education and Culture for Muslims outside the Islamic World, will represent the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) at this meeting. He is set to deliver a speech on behalf of ISESCO Director General Dr Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri at the opening session.
