Top Iranian cleric met with a group of academic visitors from Afghanistan warning against Takfiri (excommunication) groups and intrigues by arrogant powers as major threats against the world of Islam.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Mohammad Hussain Mokhtari, director of the University of Islamic Denominations, met with a group of university directors and academicians from Afghanistan expressing his views on key threats against Muslims and the present situation of Islam, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said,” World arrogant powers which stand in a hostile stance against Islam make use of all their capacities to expand Islamophobia and hostility with Islam.”
 
He stressed that the desecration of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), holy book of Islam and other Islamic sanctities by pretenders of democracy and defenders of ethical groups and also their attack against Muslim countries is proof for struggles to project Islam as violent.
 
Iranian scholar referred to launch of ignorant extremist groups under the name of Islam as the second jeopardy for Muslims and said,” This is not a less threat in comparison with arrogant powers” adding,” Though their masterminds have struggled for irrational and prejudiced taking of Islamic teachings for several years and it is this understanding of Islam which is practiced by them today.”
 
He warned against the diversity of Takfiri groups which constantly emerge to tarnish the true Islam and reject anyone rather their own members in order to introduce a violent image of Islam to the world.
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Mokhtari referred to the vital mission of Shia and Sunni scholars to confront these movements.
 
He hailed Islam as the religion of kindness, rationality, peace and coexistence demanding the scholars and intellectuals to introduce the true nature of Islam to the world.
