“Ayatollah Taskhiri, harbinger of Islamic unity”, Nabih Berri

Lebanon Parliament speaker Nabih Berri has issued a condolence message to offer condolences over passing of Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri hailing the late Iranian scholar for efforts to boost solidarity among Muslims.

Nabih Berri in his message extended sympathy with the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Iranian nation and the Supreme Council of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He lauded late Ayatollah Taskhiri as true manifestation of a quote by Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) assimilating scholars to stars enlightening the right path in darkness.”
 
Lebanese Parliament speaker called Ayatollah Taskhiri as harbinger to unity and true Islam.
 
The condolence message by Nabih Berri was delivered on Wednesday following the passing of Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, member of the Assembly of Experts, advisor of the Supreme Leader in Muslim world affairs.
 
Ayatollah Taskhiri, aged 76, passed away due to heart disease following nearly half a century of promoting Muslim unity and proximity among Islamic denominations.
