The Leader of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has called on the officials for immediate investigation into suspected poisoning of school students.

On the sideline of the National Tree Planting Day held on Monday, the Leader condemned the recent poisoning of students across Iran as a “major and unforgiveable crime” urging the officials to seriously investigate the issue, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The Leader called for maximum punishment for the perpetrators of the suspected poisoning of the students.
 
“This is a crime against the most innocent members of the society, children” said the Leader and added,” This will lead to fear, insecurity and psychological insecurity for the society and families.”
 
Ayatollah Khamenei stressed that there will be no forgiveness for the perpetrators behind the poisoning of student and that their punishment will leave a lesson for the others.”
 
Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks on the sideline of the tree planting ceremony annually held on National Tree Planting Day marked on March 6.
 
The Leader referred to the motto of the National Tree Planting Day “Every Iranian, Three Saplings” and said,” Based on this motto, if every Iranian plants three saplings, the plan for planting one billion tree will be accomplished in a span of four years.”
 
Ayatollah Khamenei highlighted the importance of preserving the environment as an advantage in Iran’s constitution stressing that the law should not be violated by anyone.
 
The Leader also called on the officials to discuss all possible ways in order to reach the right solution for the economic issues of the people.
